Job Responsibilities

The Service Shop Foreman is responsible for the effective supervision of service department technicians to ensure quality standards and productivity requirements are met. This role works directly with the technicians in the shop, providing support with technical questions and mentoring new technicians and apprentices and is responsible for the following:

• Support new technicians and apprentices in the shop with technical questions, diagnostics and repairs
• Estimate require repairs and update work orders and customers
• Provide labour estimates for new job quotes
• Improve technician efficiencies by keeping technicians on tasks and coaching when needed
• Direct and assist in the diagnosis of machine problems of technicians and apprentices
• Perform quality control check on units before returning to customers
• Coach new technicians and apprentices with work orders assigned to them

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment for diagnostic purposes

• Ensure cleanliness and professional display of all new and used equipment, trade-ins and serviced equipment
• Load and unload inbound and outbound equipment

• Execute general yard maintenance, including grass cutting, gravel area upkeep, snow removal and salting
